Dear International Freshmen,

Greetings! Welcome to Fuyang Normal University! Below are the essential enrollment instructions. Please read them carefully and report as scheduled.

I. Please abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules and regulations during your stay in China. 

To better understand Chinese laws during your study and avoid any violations due to ignorance, please be aware of and comply with the following relevant laws and regulations:

(1) According to the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China and the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, the lawful rights and interests of foreigners in China are protected by law. Foreigners in China should abide by Chinese laws and must not endanger China's national security, harm social and public interests, or disrupt social and public order. 

(2) Under the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China, foreigners should promptly register their accommodation and voluntarily undergo identity verification by public security organs. 

(3) In accordance with laws and regulations such as the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China, and the Regulation on the Emergency Response to Public Health Emergencies, to effectively prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases and safeguard public life and health, Chinese governments and relevant departments at all levels organize and implement monitoring, quarantine, and other epidemic prevention and control measures according to law. Foreigners in China should cooperate with these measures.

(4) The People’s Republic of China respects the freedom of religious belief of foreigners in China and protects and manages lawful religious activities of foreigners in China according to law. Foreigners in China can participate in religious activities in legally registered temples, monasteries, mosques, and churches based on their religious beliefs. However, missionary activities and religious gatherings are strictly prohibited on campus.

(5) Anyone who disturbs public order, endangers public security, infringes upon personal rights or property rights, obstructs social management, and poses a social hazard, which constitutes a crime according to the Criminal Law of the People’s Republic of China, shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law; those whose actions do not merit criminal punishment shall be punished for violation of public security administration by public security organs according to the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security.

(6) Article 59 of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prohibition Against Drugs stipulates that anyone who commits one of the following acts, if it constitutes a crime, shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law; if it does not constitute a crime, a penalty for violation of public security administration shall be imposed according to law: 

(a) smuggling, trafficking, transporting, or manufacturing drugs; 

(b) illegally possessing drugs; 

(c) illegally cultivating the mother plants of drugs; 

(d) illegally trading, transporting, carrying, or possessing uninactivated seeds or seedlings of the mother plants of drugs; 

(e) illegally teaching methods of manufacturing narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs, or precursor chemicals; 

(f) forcing, inducing, instigating, or deceiving others to ingest or inject drugs; 

(g) providing drugs to others.

II. Please bring your letter of admission and relevant documents stipulated by FYNU to complete enrollment procedures on time. 

If you cannot enroll on schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, you should apply in writing (by letter or email) to the School of International Education for an extension (email: sie@fynu.edu.cn). 

The extension period generally should not exceed two weeks. Failure to apply for an extension or failure to report within the extended period, except for force majeure or other legitimate reasons, will be deemed as abandonment of enrollment eligibility.

III. Remember the registration date and location.

The registration date is September 23, 2024.

The registration location is Office 917, Zhengxing Building, West Lake Campus, Fuyang Normal University, 100 West Qinghe Road, Fuyang City.

IV. Insurance Purchase.

According to relevant Chinese laws and regulations, all international students must purchase insurance before entering China; otherwise, the school will expel or refuse to register them. 

Please follow the insurance purchase guide below to purchase insurance on your own.

V. Payment Methods.

The most convenient and commonly used payment methods in China include: Alipay and WeChat Pay.

Step 1: Download the Alipay APP (International Version) and register an account;

VI. Bring a set of national clothes.

FYNU often holds various activities, so it is recommended that students bring a set of clothes with their national characteristics to use in some cultural exchange activities.
