Introduction
       The northern Anhui Culture research centre has been  established since October 10, 2003.It’s a comprehensive research institute, integrated by three different institutes (ancient book research institute, the Lao-Zhuang research institute, Northwest Anhui history culture research institute) and four liberal departments (English, history, politics and law, education) combining Bozhou and Fuyang to build the first research base of provincial colleges and universities of Humanities and Social Science. 
      The centre has an academic team of which is mainly the young and the middle aged and the scientific research structure is reasonable, inside and outside the existing college, 36 full-time or part-time researchers, among which are 9 professors, 16 associate professors, 7 doctors, 14 masters. It has provided a good academic platform for the research on the humanities and social scientific. At present, the centre has oriented research field towards the Ying-Huai culture, Fuyang and Suzhou dialect, and Guanzi’s economic thought, which are all local characteristics research field. In the past 3 years, 15 various types of items have been under research in the centre and the researchers have published more than 20 articles in the publication and 7 academic monographs.
        In order to exchange academic information, improve the researcher's scientific research ability constantly, the centre organizes the academic exchange activities actively. Successively the centre had invited researcher Wang Baosheng, the Institute of Social Sciences Literature executive deputy editor-in-chief of "Literary Commentary " editorial, Professor Tao Wenpeng, "Cultural Heritage” editorial editor, professor Ruan Tangming, Tianjin Normal University student mentors, chief of literature research institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, researcher Yang Yi, " Literary Commentary " editor-in-chief and others to come to give lectures and carry on a series of discussions on academic and exchange ideas with the centre researchers. In addition, in November, 2005 the centre successfully organized the nationwide academic conference—the third Huaihe River culture seminar, which has promoted the forming of the multi-disciplinary comprehensive research pattern of culture of Huaihe River.
       The Northern Anhui region culture is one of the most representative and characteristic regional cultures in Anhui, which has independent and the systematic research value. In order to promote the research results and build up standard key research base, the centre cooperates with the college to deepen the system reform of scientific research on the mechanism and improve internal management and evaluation system, making the key research base run in a standard and scientific way. As to the literature reserve, the centre has set up the base reference room and established the literature reserve reference room of “Three Zis”, “Three Caos”, Northern Anhui region economy system, which has become an authoritative information institution. In the application of scientific research, the centre is actively cooperating with Fuyang and Bozhou to launch “production, study, research” integration and carry out the basic research and the applied research simultaneously and make the key research base have strong self- development capacity through obtaining the social benefit and economic benefits.
